Course: B.Sc. (BMC)

In this course, the student is going to learn Botany, Microbiology and Chemistry for three academic years.

What Students study?

Students learn theory and practical knowledge in Botany, Microbiology and Chemistry. Understand the concepts, techniques of microbial biotechnology, immunology, medical microbiology, Plant Ecology, plant physiology, taxonomy, biodiversity, physical, organic and inorganic chemistry.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES:

After the completion of this course, students can go for higher education like M.Sc. Students can do Master’s degree in Botany/Microbiology/Chemistry/any other branch of Life sciences like Industrial Microbiology, Forensic Science etc.

JOB OPPORTUNITIES:

In the final year the students have a lot of opportunities to start their careers as an Employee in either national or international companies. Gain Job opportunities in various Pharma and Biotech industries and Clinical laboratories as Technical Assistant, Diagnostic Specialist, Research Assistant etc., Seed and Plant nursey companies, National parks, Plant resource laboratory, Forest services, Environmental protection agencies, chemical industries as Technical Assistant, Diagnostic Specialist, Research Assistant etc.

Students are eligible for government jobs with B.Sc. qualification through FCI (food corporation of India), BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards), FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India), APPSC, UPSC, SSC, RRB etc.

SKILL ATTAINED

Develop familiarity in current techniques of life sciences and have the ability to critically analyse, apply and establish a research process in specific areas. Ability to manipulate precise and intricate ideas, Time management, Team work, Critical thinking, Problem solving, and Analytical thinking.

Program Outcomes

PROGRAM  OUTCOME FOR GRADUATES

Graduates will be able to:

PO1: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, arts, commerce and management principles to solve the critical problems and enhance the human wellbeing.

PO2: Analyze complex problems reaching substantiated conclusions from different perspectives using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, commerce and Management.
