Course:  B.Sc.(MSCS)

  • In this course, the student is going to learn Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer science for three academic years.

  • What Students study:

Differential equations, Solid Geometry, Modern Algebra, Real analysis. 

Descriptive statistics, probability, Inferential, Applied Statistics, Statistical Quality control, Design of Experiments, and Numerical analysis.

Programming in C, Data structures using C, DBMS, Java, Operating System.

  • CAREER OPPORTUNITIES:

After the completion of this course, students can go for higher education like M.Sc. Mathematics, M.Sc. Financial mathematics and Computations M.Sc. statistics, M.Sc. Actuarial science, M.Sc. –OR& SQC, Master of Data Science, M.Sc. Computer science, MBA and MCA.

In the final year the students have a lot of opportunities to start their careers as an Employee in either national or international companies. In Private sector student can acquire Data analyst, Data scientist, Data engineer, Biostatistician, Java Developer, Technical assistant, BPO, Computer programmer.

Students can acquire Government jobs like ASO (Assistant statistical officer), JSO (Junior statistical officer), AD (Assistant Director), cryptographer, financial planner, economist, Banking, ISRO and DRDO

PROGRAM  OUTCOME FOR GRADUATES

Graduates will be able to:

PO1: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, arts, commerce and management principles to solve the critical problems and enhance the human wellbeing.

PO2: Analyze complex problems reaching substantiated conclusions from different perspectives using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, commerce and Management.

PO3: Analyze the experimental data and interpret information to provide valid conclusions.

PO4: Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern scientific tools including prediction and modeling to complex activities with an understanding of the limitations.
