The Department of Chemistry in St. Joseph’s Degree College was established in the Year 1994. Since its inception it is committed to prepare competitive and professional graduates within an innovative and intellectually stimulating environment. It supports other academic programs at St. Joseph’s Degree College by offering quality chemistry learning experiences.
The faculty in the Chemistry Department are qualified and experienced and are always student friendly.
The Chemistry Department prepares students for a diverse and changing world. It strives to contribute to a chemically literate society through teaching in class rooms, labs and research. Fully established labs catering to various curricular requirements are available. Each lab is furnished with all the requirements as per the UGC norms. Students are given Individual kits to perform their experiments under the supervision of the trained faculty members.
Students are encouraged to experiment their ideas in the laboratory.Their experimental skills and potential to explore the real-life problems are always supported by the Department by planning number of extension activities and exhibitions.
