The Department of Biotechnology has organized a guest talk on Importance of Breast feeding milk & in regard of BREAST FEEDING WEEK CELEBRATIONS – 2019. Breast feeding week is celebrated and promoted worldwide by the WABA (World alliance for Breast feeding Action), WHO ( World Health Organisation) and UNICEF (United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund) to bring awareness of breastfeeding by mother for their baby of first six months in sequence to get vital nutrients and protect the child from neonatal jaundice, pneumonia and many more.
In regard of this Dr. Bindu Madhavi has emphasized the importance of Breastfeeding week celebrations and came up with theme –“FOUNDATION OF LIFE“. She has addressed the girl students about the significance of breast milk and promoting the healthy living of both mother and baby. Students were free to communicate in order to clear their doubts. Doctor was impressed to see the charts and models prepared by the students and the session was interactive.
