BASIC COMPUTER EDUCATION FOR GOVERNMENT SCHOOL STUDENTS

In the era of science and technology it is important to develop technology expertise, to succeed in formal education and beyond, we the department of computer science has adopted, two Municipal Schools [SKVBRMMC High School, V.R. Colony, Kurnool, STPPMMC High School, Prakash Nagar], to provide them the knowledge of computer fundamentals. With this motto the department of computer science has designed a program.

A team of 25 student trainees [13 boys + 12 girls] along with the Program Coordinators [four computer science faculty] was formed to implement the program in the adopted Municipal High Schools.

Aiming to develop the school students, to meet the requirements of technical enhancement in their day to day life, the team has framed a syllabus pertaining to 10hours, with a well planned schedule. It was effectively executed by the Student trainees. After covering the syllabus, the School students were asked to take an exam {objective type} and a feedback was collected from them.

The program was two way beneficial [both for Teacher and the Taught]. Our student trainees developed confidence in presenting the subject and had an opportunity to explore their potentials.

The school students were very enthusiastic in learning a new technology. Our student trainees have come up with innovative ideas to involve School students in the learning process. The school students had a great zeal in participating in the Class room Activities.

The four Program Coordinators could successfully channelize the Youthful energy in Teaching and Learning Process.
