Introduction

I.M.P.A.C.T is a student-led initiative designed to foster a culture of innovation, engagement, and holistic development in the students of St. Joseph’s Degree College. Through a variety of cultural, literary, and developmental events, I.M.P.A.C.T aims to provide a platform for students to develop their skills, showcase their talents, enrich their campus life and build a vibrant community together.

Our activities span diverse areas, including debates, quizzes, cultural festivals, and skill-building workshops. These initiatives are intended to support students in their academic pursuits while also contributing to their personal growth, empowering them to take on leadership roles and make meaningful contributions to campus life.

Vision

I.M.P.A.C.T envisions St. Joseph’s Degree College as a community where academic excellence is complemented by a dynamic student experience. We aim to create a campus environment where students are not just passive participants but active architects of their own journey, driving innovation and creating lasting impacts. The committee embodies a shift toward a more engaged and participative student culture, empowering students to lead, innovate, and inspire.

Our committee logo conveys a powerful message about the values upheld by the student committee through its symbolic elements. The torch at the top represents knowledge, enlightenment, and leadership, serving as a guiding light for growth and excellence. The open book beneath it symbolizes learning, intellectual development, and the pursuit of academic success, while the laurel leaves on either side stand for achievement, victory, and honour, reflecting the committee’s commitment to excellence and recognizing student accomplishments. The bold word “IMPACT” at the bottom underscores the committee’s active role in creating meaningful change within the student community, emphasizing on leadership, learning, achievement, and a lasting positive influence.

Committee Structure

The I.M.P.A.C.T committee will be organized with a clear hierarchy and defined roles to ensure smooth functioning and effective execution of all activities. The structure is designed to distribute responsibilities, promote collaboration, and empower students to take leadership roles.

Terms of Membership

  • Membership in the "I.M.P.A.C.T" committee is open to all students enrolled in the college, irrespective of department or year of study.
  • Students who are already part of other clubs and committees are also welcome to join, as long as they can manage their time and commitments effectively. Cross-participation is encouraged to promote collaboration and a diverse skill set within the committee.
  • Membership in the "I.M.P.A.C.T" committee will remain valid throughout the student's college journey, allowing members to contribute consistently to the committee’s long-term goals.
  • Members who actively contribute and complete their term with dedication will receive a certificate of recognition from the committee and the college, acknowledging their service, leadership, and contributions to campus activities.

Code of Conduct-

  1. Members must act honestly, responsibly, and transparently in all committee activities.
  2. Treat all individuals with respect and collaborate constructively to achieve common goals.
  3. Sensitive information must remain confidential and not be shared without approval.
  4. Members must attend meetings and complete tasks on time, showing dedication to their roles.
  5. Maintain professionalism when representing the committee both online and offline.
  6. The committee must foster inclusivity and prohibit any form of discrimination or harassment.
  7. Disclose and avoid conflicts of interest that may compromise impartial decision-making.
  8. Engage in prompt and open communication to ensure smooth committee operations.
  9. Members are expected to actively participate in meetings and events without unjustified absences.
  10. All committee actions must align with the college’s policies and uphold its reputation.

 

Consequences of Violating the Code of Conduct

Violations of the Code of Conduct will be addressed through the following steps:

  • First Violation: A formal warning from the President or Vice President.
  • Second Violation: Discussion with the committee to determine further action, including possible suspension of duties.
  • Third Violation: Removal from the committee, subject to approval by the faculty advisor or college administration.
