VISION
To empower women to realize their potential and compete for equal opportunities in building a successful home and career.
MISSION
To uplift the girls socially and intellectually, the cell conducts various awareness camps : health, legal, entrepreneurship, defense techniques, etc.
To equip them with the right knowledge for a life of equality, empowerment, personal enhancement and professional success.
To empower them in raising their voice against Gender Discrimination/Injustice/Violence.
To spread social awareness through street plays, marathons, etc.
To provide a platform for girls and women to share their experiences and views regarding their status in the society and to suggest ways to improve and empower themselves.
Functions of the cell
WEC IN THE COLLEGE WAS ESTABLISHED ON 8 MARCH 2019 WITH A VISION OF EMPOWERING GIRL STUDENTS OF THE COLLEGE.
The functions of the constituted Committee of the Women Empowerment Cell are as stated below:
Organize workshops, seminars, interaction programmes on health, safety, literacy, entrepreneurship, and legal rights for women on campus.
Create awareness among men and women to sustain gender equity.
Encourage to promote gender sensitivity in the college and conduct diverse programs to educate and sensitize students.
Formulate public awareness campaigns as part of Community Outreach Programmes.
In this regard, each committee member plays a crucial role in achieving the Women Empowerment Cell's Vision and Mission. Since the members hail from Sciences, Maths, commerce & management, it is a perfect collage that offers individual expertise to accomplish the functions of the Cell.
