Quality improvement is a continuous process in our institution we take at-most care. POs are given maximum priority. Keeping in view the present market situation the students are given sufficient exposure by the time they come out of the institution. As we are aware Government of India has brought a new education policy (NEP-20) to improve quality of education in India, especially in Higher Education Institutions, St. Joseph’s identify and add new paraments to the existing ones to improve quality year on year. To mention a few:
Curriculum : Being an Affiliated College we follow the Curriculum prescribed by the University (APSCHE).An academic schedule is prepared to complete both practical and theory syllabus on time.
Extra Courses : Add on, Value added and Certificate Courses relevant to the concepts of the concerned discipline which will enhance the Curriculum are introduced for the students to improve their skills beyond.
Faculty Improvement : Updating the Faculty members whenever the Curriculum is changed/upgraded by conducting FDPs, Capacity Building programs and utilization of open education resources like MOOCs, Swayam etc., is followed periodically.
Academic Results : Results reflect the quality of Teaching Learning process. The average pass percentage is always above 80% every year. The categorization of students into fast learners, moderate learners and slow learners, help the faculty to improve the performance of the students in their academics.
Placements :More than 50% of the students get placed in campus drives into various MNCs and big brands every year. The continuous and dedicated work of the Placement Cell, in giving training to the students in English, Arithmetic, Reasoning and Aptitude is reflected in the number of placements that are achieved.
ICT Facilities : Every department uses the ICT facilities available in the campus to enhance the Teaching Learning Process.
Extra Curricular Activities : Apart from the curricular activities, students are encouraged to get Life Skills. Certificate courses on Art & Craft, self-grooming, workshops on how to provide first aid to a person who is suffering etc.
Community Service : Under Unnath Bharath Abyan (UBA), 5 villages are adopted by the college, where different programs are organized periodically in-order to make students familiar with the society and people around them.
Collaborations& MoUs : Collaborating with MoE (Ministry of Education) initiated Institutional Innovation Council (IIC). MoUs are made with different Institutions and Industry to have Industry Connect.
Startup Support : In collaboration with IIC, Entrepreneur Development Cell gives a platform for the students to develop critical thinking.
Alumni : Active Alumni of the College comes forward with different programs to give an exposure to the present students about the various trends, demands of the modern society, motivate their juniors to prepare for the present needs.
Deeksharambh : Student Induction Program is conducted at the beginning of every Academic Year, which helps the students (freshers) to get familiarised with the college activities, learning modes, the rules and regulations of the college, University, Examinations, curricular, cocurricular and extracurricular activities.
Extension Activities : Student extension activities are conducted by all the cells, clubs and committees involving as many students as possible. Departments also come forward and plan these extension activities.
Value Education : Discipline, Values & Ethics are given utmost priority in the College.
