SJDC Eco-club or green club is a voluntary groupwhich promotes the learning of students about theirenvironment.Empower students to take up meaningful environmental activities like celebrations of environmental daysboth offline and online competitions which sensitize them about environmental issues and sustainable development.
Mission:
Going green and to maintain asustainable green campus.To create a natural, holistic, student-centered learning environment that inspires our students to be creative, innovative, green leaders and eco-friendly decision makers.

Aims and objectives:
- Educate students to create awareness amongst public and sanitary workers, so as to stop the indiscriminate burning of waste which causes respiratory diseases.
- Promote ethos of conservation of water by minimizing the wastage of water.
- Encouraging creativity, and improving students for constructive action.
- Motivate the students to keep their surroundings clean and greenandmaking them understand the importance of planting trees.
- Sensitize the students to minimize the use of plastic bags, not to throw them in public places as they choke drains and sewers, cause water logging and provide breeding ground for mosquitoes.
- Organize tree plantation programmes, awareness programmes through quiz, essay and painting competitions, rallies etc. regarding various environmental issues which helpthem understand the importance about re-use of waste material & preparation of products out of waste.
- Maintain organic composting pits.
- Beautify selected road side area with Avenue plants and put campaign boards to generate awareness.

MOTO:
- The main moto of the eco-club is to teach the importance of environment to students and nurture them as environment protector.
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
- Action based activities like cleanliness drives within the college campus, plantation programme, Eco- Ganesharally, distribution and awareness programmes etc. also celebrate important environmental days like wet-lands day, world environment day etc.
